If we haven’t met yet, I’d like to introduce myself! I am Pastor Jewell McGhee and as of this summer, I am the pastor of Red Bridge UMC. You can usually pick me out from a crowd by my long curly rainbow colored hair.

On Sunday mornings I get to be the pastor of a bunch of adults, but during the week, I get to be a preschool pastor and it is a lot of fun.
As I partner with you in caring for your little ones, as I delight to see them growing and learning with their teachers and friends, as I see you pick up in the mornings and dropping off in the afternoons… I want you to know that you are doing a good job. This is a hard job, an important job but I see you investing in them and loving them to pieces.
Remember- snow days throw everyone off, of course you feel like you are still catching up. Remember- childhood lasts a long time, your memories of holidays and places are a big mashup of years of experiences, it’s ok to skip a year or an event and catch it next year. Remember- life is full of seasons, sometimes it’s a season of yes, sometimes a season of no, sometimes it’s a season of barely holding it together, sometimes it’s a season of asking for a lot of help. If you can accept the season that you are in, at least you can dress for the weather!
Remember- there is grace for you- on your worst days. There is grace for your little- on their wild days. There is grace for that frustrating driver and that slow target worker. Grace upon grace. Grace unmeasured. Grace and breath and breath and maybe another breath.
I see you and the love you are pouring into these kids.
That is the most important thing of all.
Grace (deep and wide),
Pastor Jewell
P.S. Ask your kids about the Fruit of the Spirit! We have learned about Love, Joy, Peace, Patience and we will be talking about Kindness in classes!
